Are you ready to become a Spartan?
The Spartans are gearing up for an exciting year and some new faces in the expanded 30-team Western States Hockey League. The team plays a 52 game regular season schedule against league opponents, as well as attending a Las Vegas show case, additional playoff games, and a run at the Thorne Cup. The team practices on ice up to 4 times a week, with additional off-ice film sessions. The program provides one of the top off-ice conditioning programs in junior hockey, with in depth off-ice training at a local facility. Off-ice training is facilitated by an experienced and highly motivating strength and conditioning coach. The Spartans also boast the largest and most dedicated fan base in the WSHL, numbering 700-800 screaming fans per game.

Academic Success
Our organization makes it a priority to ensure that the players enjoy academic success while under our care. We encourage our current and future players to investigate all their options for pursuing a secondary education. Our academic liaison Katilyn Eccleston is an Oregon native who has a double bachelor’s degree from Southern Oregon University. Her passion in life is to make the process of entering college less intimidating and fun. A fan of the Spartans since she re-located to the Rogue Valley 3 years ago, Katilyn’s responsibility is to assist our student athletes through their high school and post-secondary studies; she will help the players navigate through the NCAA Clearinghouse, SATs, ACTs, placement tests, college applications, and scholarship endeavors. Katilyn will also keep track of student progress and communicate with teachers, counselors, and the coaching staff to ensure that the players stay current with their academics and maintain academic integrity.
